the shadowy early days of the band were spent mostly in underground practice rooms. Long streams of dissonance and bombastic loping eastern-tinged marches fueled each other in the early sets, with everything from brass to violins to electronics adding to the tumult. Forays into the above ground world gave the band a taste for being in the thick of things that it has never shaken. Four cds were recorded during this time: three of them self-titled, and the 'Insubtramaneum e.p', a full-length album of collected improvisations.
